Description: Aperture pours are tricky to experiment with in the kiln because you can’t predict how glass colors will cast out. Some of the best pours are improvised, and the hyper meticulously planned ones—flops. The dark blue wave in this piece, combined with the bubbles, is an ocean current deep below the the surface. It doesn’t get any more ‘ocean’ than this.
