Description: More points for Australia because it’s the exclusive location for incredible stones, including banded tiger iron. Around 2 billion years old, banded tiger iron formed from oxygen and dissolved iron bonding, then precipitating (the opposite of dissolving) into iron oxides and accumulating on the seafloor. Some deposits are hundreds of meters thick—can you imagine that? Because I can’t!
