Materials: Basalt and etched cast glass, mounted on a partially polished stone base

Description: Basalt is an igneous rock non-exclusive to Earth; it’s found on multiple planets and moons across our solar system, and likely even beyond that. It’s amazing to think about using rocks from other planets in my sculptures… who’s got a NASA contact—I need some stones from beyond the stratosphere!
