Calligrapher's Stone Vitrolith
Calligrapher's Stone Vitrolith
Title: Calligrapher’s Stone Vitrolith
Dimensions: 3” x 3” x 2.5”
Materials: Calligrapher’s stone and cast glass
Description: An uncommon stone here in the studio, and it’s so swanky I’ll need to source more of it. Miriam stone is found in India’s Himalayas, formed from fossils and limestone. Other well-known names include: elephant skin jasper, miriam stone, coquina jasper (though don’t be fooled, jasper is a misnomer).
Cast, cut, ground, and polished. With love.
Please Note: This is an original, one of a kind sculpture. Indoor display only. Some glass forms lenses, which can cause fires—place in direct sunlight with caution. There are bubbles in my work. International shipping takes a long time. Please be patient and know that you will be paying VAT/customs.
