Description: Gem silica chrysacholla is a rare stone—in the US, it’s only found in Arizona and New Mexico. The stone is said to form similarly to how its namesake does, and often does so with chrysacholla inclusions. For some reason I’ve started thinking about it like it’s chryacholla’s super cool, successful, and elusive older cousin who shows up to holiday gatherings in a fancy new car, wearing the nicest wristwatch you’ve seen.
