Description: Picking out uncut stones to bring back to the studio can be hit or miss. When I put this chunk of kombaba to the tilesaw to see inside, I audibly said “Woahhhh…” I’ve learned that what’s rough on the outside can be breathtaking on the inside. Nothing beats opening up a stone and being the first person to witness what’s under the crust. 

Cast, cut, ground, and polished. With love.
