Materials: Basalt and lensed, laminated dichroic glass with eroded beach rock base

Description: I wasn’t sure about mounting this piece until I found this beautiful rock under some other chunks on the table. The divots/holes in the stone are caused by clams called piddocks that bore into the rock by twisting and ‘drilling’ their shells. It’s nature’s version of lens engraving.

Laminated, cut, ground, and polished. With love.
