Materials: Petoskey stone and cellular cast glass

Description: Petoskey stone is Michigan’s state rock, chosen for its presence on the shores of Lake Michigan. I recently learned that after the lake thaws every spring, these fossils are dredged up by the ice’s movement and wash up on the beaches.

Cast, cut, ground, and polished. With love.
