Title: Sodalite Vitrolith

Materials: Sodalite and cast glass

Description: This piece of sodalite is almost mottled white with blue instead of the usual blue with white. The white mottles are actually calcite, while its blue color is caused by sulfur in the silicate. I just learned that some people call it Canadia lapis, though, and I’m super down with that.

Cast, cut, ground, and polished. With love.
