Description: Turkish jade is only found in one place in the world—yep, in Turkey, specifically the Bursa region in the western part of the country. Its mottled texture is caused by a lower concentration of jadeite than other forms of jade, plus an unknown combination of minerals causes its soft purple color. Rumor has it that the stone is getting rarer and rarer, not even 50 years since its discovery. I can confirm that’s been reflected in the price of this magnificent stone.
